Air Conditioning
When a villa is equipped with air-conditioning, this will be detailed accordingly.
Please note that the majority of our properties are not equipped with any form of heating facilities. However, if you require any further information regarding this matter please do not hesitate to contact our travel advisers.

Aircraft noise
Please note that in certain resorts, in particular those closest to the airport, it is not uncommon to experience aircraft noise. This may be more noticeable during peak season due to the increase of flights. Should you require further information please contact our travel advisers.

Airport taxes and visas
Antigua: A departure tax is payable at the airline check-in desk by all passengers over the age of 12 years leaving the island (exempt for stays under 24 hours). The amount is EC$50/ US$20 per person, payable by cash only. No credit cards.

Assistance in resort
You have chosen a private villa holiday and we intend to respect your privacy. Rest assured, you will not be herded into coaches or asked to attend welcome meetings whilst you are on holiday. However, should you require assistance in any way, a representative from Villa Mangement, property managers for Lush Locations will be close at hand. All contact information i.e. the name and telephone number of the representative responsible for your well being, whilst holidaying in Antigua in one of our rental villas, will be given to you on booking your Villa.

Building work
Building work and noise are unavoidable as the demand for new accommodation increases. It is the case that some resort areas featured on the website are still being developed and therefore there is a possibility of building work or construction work, which may be carried out by local authorities or private developers. Many of our villas are also situated in residential areas and work may begin on a neighbouring property over which we have no control, nor are we given prior notice. However, in any event we will always do our best to inform you of the facts in advance but if this is not possible, please accept our apologies.

Car hire
Generally, cars are collected at the airport on arrival and returned at the end of your holiday. The car hire prices quoted are for one week’s rental and generally include unlimited mileage, and all local taxes. Car rental companies may offer insurance cover from 10USD a day and payable locally. You will be required to provide a credit card to cover any petrol supplied and to cover any excess on the car insurance. All car rentals are based on a 24-hour period from the time that you collect your car. Any late return will be charged locally. Please check carefully that your rental period coincides with your requirements and flight times. Please note that a charge may also be incurred for late night collections depending on the car hire company’s office hours. For your own safety and convenience we recommend you book a larger car rather than a smaller car for your holiday to allow for luggage space. Roof-racks can be requested for certain car types, and are payable locally, however, you are responsible for providing bungee straps. Please note, when taking surfing equipment, roof-racks must be requested at the time of booking, as surfboards cannot be carried within the car itself.

All clients intending to drive will need to produce a full driving license, be over 25 years old and pay 20USD for a Temporary Antiguan license. Baby seats can be fitted to the majority of hire cars that we offer and must be requested at the time of booking (please indicate the age of your child at this time), these are payable locally. 

All car categories are subject to availability. In the event of a specific car type not being provided by the car hire company an alternative vehicle of the same category or higher may be provided. If you specifically require a particular make/model of car, this can be requested at the time of booking but cannot be guaranteed.

Children’s safety
As we know, children are naturally curious, especially when on holiday where there are lots of interesting areas and things to be explored. Please ensure that your children are not left unsupervised at any time during your holiday and be extra careful with balconies and swimming pools etc. Parents are responsible for the actions of their children at all times.

Disabled travellers
Lush Location Holidays are not a specialist provider of holidays for the disabled. Many villas are not equipped to cater for the needs of disabled guests and may cause problems for wheelchair users. It is therefore most important that our travel advisers are informed of your special needs when enquiring about a holiday. By informing us, you help us to ensure that each individual is provided with the most suitable property for your needs.

Early season holidays
We would like to advise our customers that certain resorts may have limited facilities available in May and June. Consequently we recommend car hire during these times. Please contact our travel advisers for more information.

From time to time unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather or mechanical failure can cause delays. Infants under 2 years are able to sit on the adults lap for a nominal fee but a seat can be booked at normal rates for children over 2 years. The carriage of excess luggage, golf clubs and other sports equipment, will be charged for at the discretion of the airline. On most international flights to Antigua you are allowed 2 bags per person weighing 32kg Max

If you require a cot or highchair please request it at the time of booking in order that we can ensure it is at your chosen villa on your arrival. A supplementary charge will be added to your invoice. Cots are provided locally and will differ from those you may use at home. Please note that for hygiene reasons they are supplied without cot linen, which you should take with you.

Infinity pools
Please take extra care with children if your pool is described as an ‘infinity’. This style of pool will have an open drop from the pool edge.

Mosquitoes, ants, cockroaches and other insects are endemic in warmer climates, particularly in the country areas. Ant powders are a good repellent but it also helps to keep crumbs to a minimum. Mosquitoes can be kept at bay by a good repellent, which can be purchased before you leave or local chemists and supermarkets when you arrive. Many of our villas are surrounded by gardens and rainforest where indigenous wildlife such as lizards are common. Local dogs and cats sometimes roam around unattended and may cause a disturbance. All these types of aggravations, together with late night noise are unfortunately unavoidable. We therefore ask for your patience and understanding should they occur.

Kitchens include hob, fridge/freezer, basic cooking utensils, iron, ironing board, cutlery and crockery. Some villas have additional facilities such as washing machines, dishwashers or microwave ovens. These will be indicated in the villa description where available. Please note cleaning products or materials are not generally provided.

Local Activities
Lush Locations does not act as an agent for any supplier/owner of any activities/excursions advertised and booked through this website or at the resort. Therefore, if you utilize any services locally your contract will be with the local supplier/owner and not Lush Locations and we will not be liable for any complaints, claims loss or damage in relation to these activities/excursions.

Maid service
Maid service will vary at each individual villa and can consist of preparation only with linen and towels, to five days per week with daily towel change and weekly linen change. If your property has a barbecue, please ensure you leave it in a clean condition, as no maid service is included in the upkeep of this facility. Please note that beach/pool towels are not supplied and these should be taken with you. We kindly ask all guests not to use the towels supplied at the villa for the beach or around the pool.

Occupying/vacating your property
The majority of our villas can be occupied from 2pm onwards. In order that our properties are adequately prepared for new arrivals, we must ask you to vacate the villa by 11am on the day of your departure. When making your travel arrangements, our travel advisers will be able to advise you of suitable flight timings in order to avoid unnecessary hours either waiting to enter your villa or after leaving your villa. We highly recommend that those visitors arriving at night bring a torch.

It is your responsibility to ensure you have a valid passport and visa (if applicable). US and  International clients please check with your embassy in Antigua or your local passport office if you are unsure of documentation required. (A list of embassies in Antigua is available on this website).  British citizens whose passports were issued within the UK will not need a visa for Antigua. When you get to immigration just inform the officer of your villa location and length of stay and they will stamp your passport with the appropriate time. Anyone who is not a British citizen, but resident in the UK, (this includes citizens of British overseas territories, citizens who hold their citizenship by virtue of a connection with Gibraltar, British subjects who have a right of abode and EC and other nationals), should consult the Antigua & Barbuda embassy and the Home Office immigration department to check whether they require any special documentation for their visit or for return to the UK. Personal health and safety
If you, or any member of your party, is an expectant mother or suffers from any serious medical condition, you must check with your doctor about the advisability of travelling abroad and inform Lush Locations Holidays prior to booking. We reserve the right to refuse a booking under these circumstances.

We take the safety of our customers very seriously, unfortunately crimes against people and property are a fact of life, throughout the world, and you have the same responsibility for your personal safety as you do at home. We therefore advise all clients to be extra vigilant and ensure that great care is taken of your personal property.

In the event that you should lose any items of value while on holiday through theft or otherwise, you must report the facts immediately to the local police or other competent authority and obtain a written report. If a report is not obtained it will be difficult for you to pursue any claim through your holiday insurance.

Pools, garden and general maintenance
All rental properties are maintained by the villa owner or staff who have access to the villas. Gardens have to be maintained on a regular basis and it is simply not possible for this to be carried out on 'change-over' days. With regard to pool maintenance, pools are normally checked and cleaned once a week and this is normally carried out very early in the morning to avoid disruption to our clients. However, neither pool nor garden personnel have fixed hours, so it is not possible for us to advise you of the exact date or time of their visit. We ask for your co-operation when our staff visit as it is imperative to keep the properties well maintained for all clients' enjoyment throughout the year. It is also not uncommon for the maintenance staff/maid/owner to live within a villa's boundary. If you require further information please contact our travel advisers.

Safety deposit boxes
Please note that safes are not provided in all villas and should you require a property with this facility please ask our travel advisers at the time of booking.

Satellite TV/video/DVD/games consoles
If the written description for a villa indicates satellite television you can expect to receive a full American selection of channels. Villas that have video facilities may only supply a small selection of UK videos. If a villa is equipped with a DVD or games consoles, you will need to provide your own DVD's games.

Unless otherwise stated, telephones are not provided in our villas. Therefore we recommend that, if possible, clients take mobile phones in case of an emergency.

Travel documentation
On making a reservation with us, a confirmation invoice will be sent out within seven days and your full villa information will be sent again approximately ten days prior to your departure.

The vast majority of our villas are privately owned and are furnished to the owner’s taste, so the standards and styles of villas will inevitably differ. We endeavour to give an accurate description of each villa with interior and exterior photographs. Please note that in some villas it is not always possible for the furnishings within the lounge/dining area to accommodate all occupants at any one time.

Villa services
Water, electricity and gas consumption are included within the villa rental cost. Unfortunately it is the case that sometimes there can be water or electricity shortages and supplies can be cut off with no notice for varying periods of time. We ask for your patience and co-operation in such instances, as you will appreciate these situations are beyond our control.

Whilst we have endeavored to give accurate descriptions and prices, on our website and in our brochures, errors can occur and prices may alter due to circumstances beyond our control. (Printing or uploading errors).  We make every effort to ensure that the information and photography contained on our website is accurate. The distances to amenities and pool measurements we've provided are approximate while the amount of square meters a villa has is displayed as a guide and is not to scale.
It is paramount that you check and confirm all details of your chosen holiday villa (including the price) at the time of booking. Please also be aware that activities and excursions advertised on our website may alter or be temporarily withdrawn without prior notice to us.

We are unable to accept any liability for any delay to your flight, ferry crossing or train journey whether the delay or cancellation is caused by adverse weather conditions, the action of air traffic controllers, the action of port, airport authorities or governments, the rescheduling of times by the carrier, mechanical breakdown, strike or industrial action or otherwise. In such circumstances you may be able to make a claim under your insurance policy.

Your accommodation
This is reserved exclusively for the people named on the confirmation invoice and no other persons are permitted to stay at the accommodation unless this has been agreed with us in writing and appropriate payments made (if applicable). Should you or any member of your party be responsible for any breakages, loss or damage of any item of the property or additional cleaning has been necessary, a charge will be made locally from your breakage deposit.

Special requests
If you have a special request that does not form part of the arrangements described on the website or in our brochure please inform us in writing. We will do our best to comply but cannot guarantee to do so and it will therefore not form part of our contracted obligations. We regret that we are unable to advise prior to departure if special requests cannot be met. Requests for wheelchair assistance at airport or specific seating on an aircraft should be made at the time of booking your flight. Special requests, regarding your villa booking, made after your booking date must be confirmed in writing within seven days of the request. We will make every effort to accommodate your request.

Holiday/Travel insurance
Adequate insurance is essential and the sole responsibility of the client.

If you have a complaint
If you have cause for complaint whilst on holiday, this must be brought to the attention of a Villa Management representative immediately so that action can be taken to rectify the problem. Should our representative be unable to resolve the matter, details of the complaint must be notified to Villa Management in writing within 10 days of the end of your holiday. Any claims received outside this period cannot be considered as, if you do not tell us about your complaint promptly, it may prove difficult to investigate your complaint thoroughly.

At all times during your holiday, you are expected to have consideration for your fellow holidaymakers and other third parties. If, in the opinion of ourselves, the owner or another person in authority, you are or appear to be behaving in such a way as to cause, or to be likely to cause, danger, distress, annoyance or damage to property, we may terminate your villa booking immediately. In this situation, we will have no further liability to you and will not be responsible for meeting any expenses you incur as a result, making any refund or paying any compensation. In addition, you will be responsible for any expenses incurred as a result of your behaviour.

Data protection policy
In order to process your booking and to ensure that your villa rental arrangements run smoothly and meet your requirements we need to use the information you provide, such as name, address and any special needs etc. We take full responsibility for ensuring that proper security measures are in place to protect your information. We must pass the information on to the relevant organisers of your arrangements, such as villa management companies/villa owners, car rental companies (if booking through us) etc. The information may also be provided to security or credit checking companies, public authorities such as customs/immigration if required by them, or as required by law. Information will only be passed on to any person responsible for arranging your Villa rental or any other service you may have requested us to organize. This applies to any sensitive information that you give to us such as details of disabilities, special needs etc. (If we cannot pass this information to the relevant people we cannot provide your booking. In making your booking, you consent to this information being passed on to the relevant persons). Your data controller is: Lush Locations.
