CRICKET
Cricket in Antigua 2008
Here is an update for all of those cricket enthusiasts amonst you. Antigua is hosting the Stanford 20/20 from the 25th October 2008. There will be six matches played in all as well as a Legends Beach Cricket event which will revive rivalries of old at one of Antigua's most desirable locations, Jolly Beach, as the Stanford Legends host an English Legends selection on Friday October 31st.
All 20/20 supporters can log on to Stanford2020.com to reserve their tickets using a credit card, purchase them at the Ticket Office which is located at the Stanford Cricket Ground or call 268-480-021. More importantly don't forget to book your villa for this week of fabulous cricket. We still have villas available at the moment so book now to avoid disappointment and we look forward to greeting you personally soon.

Antiguans are more than a little devoted to cricket. Historically this island has been a very strong contributor, not only to the West Indian cricket, but also, to international cricket. The Antigua Recreation Ground is one of the finest places in the Caribbean to take in a local, regional or international match. If you love the game don’t miss the opportunity to visit the Antigua and Barbuda Museum and see for yourself, the infamous cricket bat of Vivian Richards, native Antiguan, former captain of the West Indies Cricket Club, and one of the greatest batsmen of all time. If you are an enthusiast you will be please to know that cricket matches can be found almost anywhere on the island, at almost any time.
TENNIS
Antigua has already established itself within the sport of Tennis with its annual Tennis Week in May of each year. It draws an impressive field of international competitors to the island during this week. There are now quite a few of the island’s hotels that have excellent tennis facilities.
GOLF
There are two golf courses on Antigua: an 18-hole, 70-par course at the Cedar Valley Golf Club and another at Jolly Harbour. The K-Club on Barbuda also has its own 9-hole course.
Jolly Harbour Golf Club
- Fairly easy membership, all one has to do is obtain a membership form, fill it out,
return the form, pay the monies and then you will receive a laminated membership
card.
- Different type of memberships are offered:
Corporate membership - (the more members the less the cost)
4 corporate cards - $1,000.00EC per member
5/6 corporate cards - $950.00EC per member
7/8 corporate cards - $890.00EC per member
Single membership:
per year - $558.00US
6 mths - $345.00US
3 mths - $238.00US
1 mths - $180.00US
Homeowners membership: - if you own a property in Jolly Harbour fees are discounted.
Individual - $468.00US per year
Couples - $702.00US per year
Couples membership:
1 year - $820.00US

1 mth - $275.00US
- Green Fee prices are already included in the membership fees,
if a member does not have their own carts and clubs they can be
rented at a special membership rate.
For non-members the fees are:
9 holes - $25.00US

Golf Cart fees:

18 holes - $23.00US

Cedar Valley Golf Course
- Obtain and fill out a membership form - form has to be returned
for approval - is usually approved. Once approved, payments have
to be made. There is a joining fee of $260.00EC
- Membership fees:
Single - $1,280.00EC per year
Husband & Wife - $2,050.00EC per year
Family (husband & wife + Kids in school not college) $2,300.00EC
per year
- Green Fees $30.00US per 18 holes daily
Carts $30.00US per 18 holes (if cart is shared $15.00US per person)
